There should be more payment gateways that can be integrated and shipping methods and auto invoice per order. Although I am not a developer per trade, North Commerce is very slow to roll out new features. It is also being flagged by our firewall to have several vulnerabilities. Upon deletion, North Commerce did not clean up the database and left us with a mess to cleanup.
